The 28th of August was a day of celebration for Isabelina, Cape Town’s iconic décor and lighting specialists, who launched into Johannesburg with a glittering brunch cocktail event at their three hundred square metre flagship showroom at Design Quarter in Fourways.
I coordinated the invite design, guest list and the full media guest list which included House & Leisure, Grazia, Marie Claire and Elle Decor, to name a few.
Having operated in Cape Town for the past five years, it was time for Isabelina and their luxury high-end décor, jewellery and handbags to shine some of their jewel encrusted light into the Gauteng market. And the Johannesburg locals have not been disappointed.
Guests were spoilt with traditional Greek meze canapés from fellow Design Quarter tenant Greek restaurant, Mythos, whilst sipping on chilled Graham Beck Brut Champagne as they admired some of Isabelina’s beautiful treasures.
All collections at Isabelina are designed and sourced by the owners Francis and Judith Matthews with many of them exclusive to the retailer. Their bespoke collections include luxurious décor, exclusive lighting, and one-off furniture pieces, as well as on-trend handbags, jewellery and gifting.
Décor ranges on display included their unique carved mango wood tables, their personally designed crystal chandelier ranges and beautifully upholstered chaises and ottomans. Best of all, Isabelina have a full in-house design service where they will design and manufacture items to their customer’s exact specs. Decor accessories such as their locally made ceramic tableware and serving spoons inspired by South Africa’s indigenous nature were also creations to behold, already in great demand by Johannesburg décor enthusiasts.
Isabelina’s exclusive jewellery collections include their cork range and locally made porcelain and leather collection. For eveningwear and bit more of a glam look, their embellished crystal and highly detailed necklaces and bracelets and silver plated jewellery were definite showstoppers.
Isabelina also boasts all-leather handbags in a beautiful range of metallic’s, pastels and neutrals including clutches, reversible two-tone totes and shoulder bags that are unique to Isabelina and designed to their own specs.
